My grandmother, Antonia Limon, has been making her homemade Tamales for her family and friends since the early 1950s.  According to my grandmother, no one in my family including my five uncles and aunt, know her recipe. After many  conversations about her tamales, she was eager to show me how to properly make them. I decided to spend a weekend with her in order to learn how to make them while discovering every secret about the dish. Meanwhile, I used the opportunity to document it. (photos are not in order of recipe, some photos are not included)
